OGDENSBURG – The Montana Repertory Theatre’s production of “Doubt,” one of the most celebrated plays in recent history, will be presented Saturday, March 31 in George Hall Auditorium at Ogdensburg Free Academy.

Presented by Ogdensburg Command Performances, the show starts at 7:45 p.m. Doors open at 7:15 p.m.

“Doubt” is the winner of the Tony, Drama Desk and New York Drama Critics’ Circle awards. The parable by John Patrick Shanley is described as a stunning production with an exquisite blend of humor and drama.

When the principal of a Bronx Catholic High School in 1964 accuses a popular priest of pedophilia with the school's first black student, a young nun caught in between the feuding pair becomes hopelessly swept up in the ensuing controversy.

Shanley takes doubt very seriously, finding it a positive commodity in a world where talking heads are always so certain, often leading us into unfortunate consequences. In an extraordinary theatrical sleight of hand, Shanley leaves audiences no simple answers, no pat solutions, and no easy outs.

Ticket prices range from $16 to $35, with discounts for senior citizens, students and groups of 15 or more. For information or reservations, call 393-2625, Fax 393-3745, e-mail ocp@ogdensburgk12.org or visit ILoveTheater.org.
