OGDENSBURG — Ogdensburg Command Performances with CMI Entertainment Inc. will present ’A Christmas Carol’ on the stage at George Hall Auditorium at Ogdensburg Free Academy, 1100 State St., on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 6:45 p.m.
Charles Dickens powerful story has enchanted audiences the world over with its timeless message of redemption, said OCP.
This new adaptation of Dickens’ ever popular classic is the best ever with the beloved music of traditional carols woven throughout this tale, filling the stage with first class actors, lush costumes, stunning sets and puppetry, haunting special effects, and a heavy dose of humor.
OCP and CMI are excited to welcome back Clayton Phillips to direct and adapt this year’s production.
Phillips’ impressive credits include directing “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” in international and US tours. He has won awards for directing “Cabaret” and “Chicago” and “Slow Dance with a Hot Pickup.”
With the music of 26 beloved traditional carols of the season incorporated into the performance, “A Christmas Carol” is the perfect way to begin the holiday festivities, CMI said.
Celebrate the true Spirit of Christmas with this brand new, original production filled with haunting special effects and heartfelt sentiment.
