MADRID – This year’s summer reading program, “Oceans of Possibilities,” is being offered at Madrid Hepburn Library from July 5- August 12. p.m., with a beach party at the end. A beach party to celebrate the program’s completion will be held August 19 from 10 a.m.-2
Add the book(s) you are reading to your reading log and bring it into the library each week to add fish to your fish bowl and win a prize. One super reader in each age group will win an awesome prize at the end of the program.
Age groups: Children 0-5 years, 6-11 years, teens 12-18, adults 19-110 years.
Mondays: A new story walk will go up outside the library; Origami for all with an ocean theme will be demonstrated
Wednesdays: STEAM crafts available for pickup for children 0-5 and 6-11 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Thursdays: 12 p.m. Local author Lua Garman reads an original story.
Fridays: Story time and craft with Mrs. Paige 11 a.m.
A beach party to celebrate the program’s completion will be held August 19 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Beach-inspired games, water sprinklers, and a six-foot beach ball, and Miss Angie’s Music Performance with dance plays, shadow puppets and music.
