MASSENA—The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will continue its free “Friday Matinees” in March with showings of classic and contemporary movies at the admission-free Hawkins Point Visitors Center.
The movies will be shown at 1:30 p.m. in the visitors center auditorium. Free popcorn will also be available.
The movie schedule is as follows:
March 2: “The Big Year” (2011). Two bird enthusiasts try to defeat the cocky, cutthroat world record holder in a year-long bird-spotting competition.
March 9: “Annie Hall” (1977). This romantic comedy follows the up and down relationship of two mismatched New York neurotics.
March 16: “Tuck Everlasting” (2002). A young woman meets and falls in love with a young man who is part of a family of immortals.
March 23: “Contagion” (2011). A thriller centered on the threat of a deadly disease and the international team of doctors contracted by the Center for Disease Control to deal with the outbreak.
March 30: “One Day” (2011). After meeting on the night of their college graduation, Dexter and Emily are shown on the same day each year to see where they are in their lives.
