NORWOOD — A Back-to-School Giveback event will be held Aug. 24, from 4-7 p.m. in the Norwood-Norfolk Central School cafeteria.
The school will hold the event for the first time since before the pandemic.
There will be a “shopping style school supply giveaway” where students will be given free tickets to “purchase” school supplies that they want or need from stations set up at the cafeteria.
Two inflatable slides will be set up outside for entertainment. A photo booth is also planned.
Local organizations and businesses are being asked to make donations or participate.
Donations are sought for school supplies, snacks, or cash to supply those items.
Organizers are hopeful to have all donations collected by Aug. 17.
Checks can be made payable to: Back to School Give Back and mailed to 14191 State Highway 37, Massena, NY 13662.
Volunteers are also needed at the event.
