NORWOOD – The Norwood Beach Triathlon will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday Aug. 21 at the Norwood Beach Recreation Park, Lake Shore Drive.
The race consists of a ¼-mile open water swim, 15-mile bike and 4-mile run.
Participants can choose to do the entire race as an individual or as a two- or three-member team.
All benefits from this year’s race will go to two local organizations: The John C. Purvis Scholarship Fund and St. Lawrence County Health Initiative.
The cost for this triathlon is $30 individual and $45 for teams if postmarked prior to Aug. 6. Fees after Aug. 6 and on race day will be $35 individual and $55 per team.
