NORFOLK – Where are they now, and what are they doing, the Christians who grew up in the Norfolk United Methodist Church, attended church as teens or adults, or preached from the pulpit?
The pastor and congregation hope to hear from a number of them on Sunday, Feb. 27, at a special “celebration of ministry” during worship at 11 a.m. All are invited to attend the service.
The Rev. Bob Droppa, a youngster when his father pastored the church in the 1950s, plans to attend in person. Rev. Droppa will bring a word about sharing God's love born out his close contact with Christians in China.
Letters have gone out to several people with ties to the Norfolk church, inviting them to send a letter telling some of what Norfolk UMC meant to them. The letters will be read aloud during the service. For more information, call the church at 384-4572.
