NICHOLVILLE -- St. Therese Church, 68 County Route 55, will host a Hungarian Festival Sunday, May 19 with music, arts, food and dancing.

The Church’s Fiat group has proposed the festival as a way to highlight Catholic culture in different countries, with Hungary as the theme for the first year.

Eletfa, a Hungarian band, will provide music and Fiat members have been learning Hungarian dances to share with attendees.

Fair-like games and booths on Hungarian art, including Hungarian decorated eggs, will also be featured.

Free food will include a Hungarian-style pig roast, chicken paprika and cabbage rolls. Vino Vidi Vici of Massena will provide the food.

Beer will be available, including a Hungarian Urquell pilsner.

A solemn high mass will be held at 11 a.m., followed by the festival at 12:30 p.m. Live music and dancing will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Games and activities, including a bounce house, will be available to entertain kids.
