CANTON – The campaign of a family court judge nominee is sponsoring a “skate with a pro” hockey clinic Saturday at SUNY Canton featuring NHL Winnipeg Jets defenseman Zack Bogosion, a Massena native.
The Committee to Elect Cecily LaVigne Morris is hosting the event as campaign fundraiser.
Manchester Monarchs Coach Mark Morris will be on the ice to teach skill development and offer instruction about positioning, as well as stick and puck skills. Also featured in the clinic are Aaron Bogosian, former St. Lawrence University captain and Springfield Falcons (AHL) forward, Joe Charlebois of Potsdam, a former captain and defenseman for the Univeristy of New Hampshire and current pro player with the Kalamazoo Wings (ECHL), and Cecily’s daughter Emily, University of Wisconsin Badgers captain in 2007 and a two-time NCAA champion.
Kevin Morris, captain of Salisbury School this past season and USHL player for the Dubuque Fighting Saints this upcoming season, will be on hand at the clinic. Another North Country native from Brasher Falls, Chris Bernard, head coach of the SUNY Potsdam Bears Men's Hockey Team and former Golden Knight goaltender will be there.
