POTSDAM -- The North Country Children's Museum, 10 Raymond St., is offering new summer afternoon, art and science programs for children in grades 2-6.

Environmental Art will be held June 26, 27 and 28, with a focus on exploring art in the outdoors. How have artists mimicked, manipulated and maneuvered environmental spaces to create profound works of art? Come explore the world of Andy Goldsworthy and Zaria Forman and experiment with environmental sculpture and plein air painting styles.

Building Structures will be held July 10, 11 and 12. Participants will take fort building to the next level, exploring ancient and modern building techniques and creating a variety of structures using traditional, recycled, and downright strange materials. Using imagination and teamwork, kids will create their own structural masterpieces. This workshop will take place in the museum and outdoors, weather permitting.

The cost of the programs is $45 each, with a 10 percent discount for NCCM members. Classes are held outside weather permitting .

Space is limited; register at https://bit.ly/2EKt21R.
