MASSENA -- A Nature Photography Club Meet-Up, Beginning and Intermediate-level guided ski lessons and a guided snowshoe walk highlight this weekend’s activities at Nicandri Nature Center.

On Saturday, Jan. 22, Nature Photography Club Meet-Up with "Feeder Birds and Photos" will be held at 9:30 a.m.

Intermediate Level Guided Ski lessons will also be available Saturday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. For those that have moved beyond beginner level, there will be a volunteer instructor for an intermediate level tour of the trails. Tips to improve your skiing will be offered along with a fun time skiing together.

On Sunday, Jan. 23, there will be a guided snowshoe trail walk at 10 a.m. with a staff member. It’s a great way to get comfortable with snowshoes if you've never used them, or just to get to enjoy the activity with a group.

Also on Sunday, there will be a Beginner Ski Lesson at 2 p.m. with a volunteer instructor. Join one of the staff to learn the basics of cross country skiing, from how to put on the gear to how to kick and glide and how to stand up when you fall. It will cover all you need to get started.

The activities are open to all ages.

Equipment loans are available. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early if borrowing gear as the lessons start right on time.

No registration is required. Just show up.

Masks are required inside and when gathered for the lesson.
