POTSDAM – Julian’s restaurant will host an audience participation murder mystery, “Dog Days,” written by Parishville resident Helen Condon, on Wednesday, Sept. 15, to benefit the operations at the Potsdam Humane Society’s animal shelter.

Those in attendance are asked to solve this ‘whodunit’ affair by ballot voting during the intermission. Prizes will be given through a random drawing of the correct ballots.

Directed by Art Johnson, “Dog Days” plot involves five women who have the means and the motive to murder the local veterinarian. Local star players are Lorie Gruneisen, Elaine Kuracina, Donna Wright, Kathleen Kirschner, Helen Condon and Art Johnson.

Cocktail hour begins at 5 p.m. with a cash bar including some great signature drinks to benefit the animals at the local shelter. The performance begins at 6 p.m. and is accompanied by a gourmet dinner.

A $50 donation includes the performance and a selection of a three-course meal including soup or salad, one main entrée (salmon, Thai-marinated grilled chicken or tofu, or marinated bistro steak, and dessert.

Due to limited seating, just 60 tickets are available for the performance. Tickets may be purchased in advance at Julian’s on Market Street or at the animal shelter on Madrid Avenue.
