POTSDAM — The Help Sami Kick Cancer Foundation is planning a meet and greet, Neil Young tribute concert and a black tie event later this year to raise funds for The Lodge @ Dreaming Tree Ranch, 185 Wilkinson Rd.

First, the organization is hosting a meet and greet event at The Lodge on Friday, Aug. 19, at 6 p.m.

This evening gathering precedes the Dream Fest Outdoor Concert, also being held at The Lodge, on Saturday, Aug. 20, at 3 p.m. featuring the Waydown Wailers opening for Neil Young tribute band Broken Arrow.

On Friday, the meet and greet offers a chance to mingle with members of both bands performing Saturday. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be available, and the $100 ticket to the meet and greet event also includes admission to the following day’s concert.

On Saturday, the Waydown Wailers will open the Dream Fest Outdoor Concert at 3 p.m. followed by Neil Young tribute band Broken Arrow. Tickets for Dream Fest are $50 and the grounds will be open to the public beginning at noon.

Attendees are asked to bring their own chair, but leave coolers at home. Food and drink will be available on site, and the show goes on whether rain or shine.

Help Sami Kick Cancer wraps up its events with its Blue Jean to Black Tie event on Saturday, Sept. 24, beginning at 3 p.m. at Tanner Creek Farm on County Route 17 in DeKalb Junction.

The Foundation invites guests to enjoy dinner and dancing at the scenic Tanner Creek Farm to support The Lodge @ Dreaming Tree Ranch. A live auction will also take place.

Tickets for the Blue Jean to Black Tie event are $100.

Each of these events directly support the Help Sami Kick Cancer Foundation and its flagship project, The Lodge @ Dreaming Tree Ranch.

Funds raised will allow the foundation to continue to pursue its mission of enriching the lives of a family who has received the dreaded news of a pediatric cancer diagnosis.
