GOUVERNEUR -- Medicare information from United Healthcare Medicare Solutions is available at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21 at the American Legion, 163 E. Main St.
United Healthcare sales representative Kelly Buell will explain to Medicare beneficiaries how the Medicare program works and the options available.
The overview, called ìMedicare Made Clear,î will examine the coverage differences between Part A, Part B, and Prescription Part D, as well as Medicare supplements, Medicare advantage plans and Medicare prescription drug plans.
It will also provide an explanation of the EPIC changes for Jan. 1, 2012, an overview of Extra Help and the Medicare Savings Program, which provide those who qualify with additional financial assistance to cover prescription drugs and Part B premiums.
