MASSENA – Nicandi Nature Center’s skiing and snowshoeing will be closed from Friday morning until the wind chill warning expires at 1 p.m. Saturday. The nature center will not be loaning equipment and advises everyone to stay off the trails and visit the center inside instead.
Free rentals for their ski/snowshoe program will resume once temps rise. “Sunday looks like the perfect day to come out this week!” said the center’s Facebook page.
The “moonlight ski and snowshoe” event, originally scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 4, has been postponed due to the weather forecast of wind chill below the safety zone. A new date will be set soon.
