MASSENA – A free celebration to kick off Massena Public Library’s annual summer reading program will be held at Nicandri Nature Center on Saturday, June 22, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
A family fun day is being hosted jointly by the Nicandri Nature Center and Massena Public Library.
The day starts off with a fun run with a 5 km run for teens and adults and a 1/3 km run for kids. A 2 km walk through the woods is also an option.
Several story-walks will be throughout the trails. Also, an educational program will be offered by the nature center staff.
A nature-themed story and craft will be presented by the library staff, with make and take crafts available throughout the day.
A free lunch for all attendees and book giveaways for the kids will also be offered.
