MASSENA -- The Massena Artists Association is accepting entries from all artists and all media for its Spring Art Exhibit.

Everyone who has created artwork that they’d like to show to the community is welcome to submit their work. Young artists as well as adults are encouraged to enter. Unusual as well as traditional work is welcome.

Work should be no larger than 40 inches in any dimension.

Two dimensional work must be framed and have a wire attached for hanging. Works on paper should be matted and framed under glass or plexiglass to protect the surface of the work. Larger pieces should be glazed with plexiglass to reduce the weight and fragility of the work.

This is not a juried show. All work submitted that is suitably framed and wired for hanging will be exhibited.

People’s Choice awards will be presented. The public will be asked to vote for their favorite piece. Votes will be received for the entire first week that the exhibit is on display.

Each artist may submit up to three pieces. Work must be delivered to the Massena Public Library between 10 and 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, accompanied by a completed application form and a $1 entry fee for each piece.

The opening reception will be Tuesday, May 15, at 6:30 p.m. Work will remain on display through May 25. Artists may pick up their work on Saturday, May 26.

MAA members and artists who have exhibited in recent MAA Juried Art Exhibits should have received application forms in the mail.
