PARISHVILLE — Masons who are amateur radio operators will participate in a program entitled “Masonic Lodges on the Air“ on Sept. 24.
The radio contest is in its second year and will occur annually each September. The goal is to contact as many stations set up at Masonic Lodges and individual Masons across our state, country, and the world.
The event will promote public awareness of both Ham Radio and Freemasonry.
The public is invited to visit event locations and may operate a radio under the supervision of a licensed amateur.
In the St. Lawrence District, Amber Lodge 395, at 1767 State Route 72 in Parishville will be activating a station between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The station is planned to be outside but may move inside if the weather is not cooperative.
