MASSENA – Recreation programs are planned Saturday through Monday, during the upcoming Labor Day weekend at the Barnhart Beach and Coles Creek pavilions, including crafts, games and more. Visiting campers, as well as the public are invited to participate.
“Make a ‘Ty-Dyed’ t-shirt” program, Saturday, Sept. 4 and Sunday, Sept. 5. The times for both days are: 10 a.m.-noon, Robert Moses State Park, Beach Recreation Building; 2-4 p.m., Coles Creek State Park Beach Pavilion. Children’s sizes - $8 if you bring a 100% cotton t-shirt, $10 to buy one. Adult sizes - $10 if you bring a t-shirt, $12 to buy one.
Participants will make a bright, permanent Ty-Dye T-shirts with Ty Danboise of Windance. Ty has been providing art programs as well as creating and selling hand-dyed clothing for over 21 years now. Sign-up at the campground recreation programs or call 764-5498 for additional information or to pre-register.
There is an entrance fee, so bring a picnic and stay for the day.
