MADRID -- The annual election of the Madrid Fire District will take place on Dec. 10, from 6-9 p.m. at the Madrid Fire Station, 6 Church St.
Voters will elect one commissioner for a five-year term.
Candidates for the District must submit a signed letter of intent to the secretary of the Madrid Fire District, P.O. Box 69, Madrid 13660.
Any candidate for the offices must be 18 years of age, a resident of the Madrid Fire District and registered with the St Lawrence County Board of Elections.
