MADRID — The Madrid Dam Music Series will continue in 2022 with several spring performances scheduled in the Madrid Municipal Park Community Building.
All scheduled Sunday performances will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday night concerts will be held from 6-9 p.m.
The concerts are free to attend but donations are welcome.
The spring series kicks off on Sunday, Feb. 27 with a Mardi Gras performance by the Chipman Jazz All Stars — Ted Ritzko, Steven Paul Manders, Thomas Baker, Steve LeMere, George Cox. Those attending are invited to dress in Mardi Gras attire and participate in a parade.
Well known singer-songwriter and guitarist Barb Heller will perform Sunday, March 20 with songs and stories.
String Solstice, a band which includes Michael Welch, Jennifer Kessler, Chip Lamson, Christian Hosmer and Larry Baycura, will perform Sunday, April 3.
Concert goers will be able to enjoy dancing to the golden oldies of the 50s and 60s with The Shoes (Al Netto, Herb Hughes, Denny Verdon, Ted Markwick and Bill Farr) on Saturday, April 30.
Pedal steel guitarist Tracer James will perform Sunday, May 15.
An intermission can be added for a 2-hour event.
MDMS events are family friendly without smoking, alcohol, or strobe lighting. Attendees will be required to follow COVID protocols.
