LISBON/WADDINGTON -- The summer reading theme this year is “Imagine Your Story” which features exciting Fairy Tales, Nursery Rhymes, and Fables.
Due to the pandemic, the Hepburn Library of Waddington and the Hepburn Library of Lisbon will be doing things a little different; instead of meeting at the libraries patrons can participate right from their own home.
On Mondays, starting July 6 and going until Aug. 10, there will be a story walk through the community:
• Waddington’s story walk will begin at the book drop box and go down Main Street to the water and follow the path to Whitaker Park.
• Lisbon’s story walk will begin in front of the library at the historic marker sign and follow a path around the library property.
Every Monday there will be a “Grab & Go” craft that can be picked up at either library.
In each bag, there will be a craft to go along with the story walk and an activity. The activity will consist of your opinion, a picture, or writing an alternate ending.
The libraries will still track reading minutes/hours and having incentives, as well as, prizes at the end of the program.
Information about each library may be found on their website and on Facebook.
