OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center will sponsor a free workshop, “Let’s Talk Herbs,” presented by John Kordet of Parsley Place Herbs, on Thursday, June 28.
The presentation will take place from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Medical Center’s conference room A & B, next to the Cornerstone Café.
Kordet will talk about how to start an herb garden using both annual and perennial herbs. He will answer questions about medicinal and aromatic herbs used in holistic treatment and the many culinary herbs available.
Parsley Place Herbs grows over 150 varieties of herbs in their greenhouses most of which they bring to the Market each week. At the workshop, participants will learn what herbs to plant to make your own potpourri or to spice up some of your favorite dishes, how to start your own kitchen herb garden, and much more.
Participants can feel free to bring their own lunch to workshop or just stop by to ask questions.
