POTSDAM -- An exhibit of custom framed photographs by Jane Lammers will be featured at First Crush Bistro, 32 Market St., from Feb. 1 to Feb. 28.

“Tropical Visions: Abundant Beauty: Coastal vistas from the Hawaiian Islands” features coastal images focusing on the unique native vegetation and coastal geology of the Hawaiian Islands.

“One is struck by the vast remoteness of the Hawaiian Islands, and of the hardiness of the plant life which exists and thrives in the newborn volcanic soil, constant winds and sea spray,” said Lammers.

Lammers has exhibited throughout the North Country, winning awards at A Point of View Gallery, Lake Placid and at the Remington Art Museum, Ogdensburg. Jane has participated in the Saratoga Art in Public Places program and in the annual Art Hop art festival in Burlington, Vt. during the past four years.

Lammers’ custom framed photography is available at The Pear Tree, Canton, The Frame Mill and Bicknell Home Interiors in Potsdam, photo notecards at the St. Lawrence University Bookstore, Maple Run Emporium and at the St. Lawrence County Arts Council.

Her exhibit is part of the rotating art program at First Crush Wine Bar, coordinated by Hilary Emerson Lay. For more information visit firstcrushwinebar.com.
