CANTON -- St. Lawrence University's Center for Civic Engagement will host “Kick It for Claire" April 13 from noon to 4 p.m. in Newell Field House.

Claire is a two-year-old Norwood resident with cystic fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis is a life threatening disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. Claire endures several treatments daily to maintain healthy lungs and digestion.

The event will feature a Zumba workout, a silent auction and many activities.

All proceeds will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for research and medical care.

Donations can also be made online at www.cff.org/Great_Strides/KickitforClaire.

Last year’s “Kick it for a Cause” event, started by Madison Wilcox and titled “Kick it for Krissy” raised $5,000 for a girl named Krissy with leukemia.

Donations are being accepted for the silent auction. To donate, contact Madison Wilcox at mjwilc10@stlawu.edu or 771-4273.
