POTSDAM - The Juneteenth Celebration Organizing Committee is busy planning this year's family-friendly event, celebrating the culture of African-Americans and providing a space for Black voices to be honored.
Public participation is sought for a planning and brainstorming session on Tuesday, Feb. 21, from 7-8 p.m. in Potsdam.
It will be held at the Potsdam Community Room (behind and above the Public Library, on the third floor), with parking at 38 Main St. This venue is wheelchair accessible.
Anyone with ideas to share about what they would like to see celebrated or honored at the Juneteenth Celebration this coming June is welcome to attend. Performers, artists, speakers and children’s activities are sought.
