CANTON – Stop by TAUNY on Friday, Oct. 1, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to visit with jewelry maker Jason Gilmour as he demonstrates his work on the sidewalk in front of The TAUNY Center, 53 Main St.
A native of the North Country, Gilmour was born into a long line of carpenters and fabricators. His love of working with wood and metal brought him to his current line of work as a jewelry maker.
He uses recycled silverware and other utensils to make his unique brand of art, which includes everything from rings fashioned from spoons and forks, to bracelets made from pie spatulas.
