Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley, in cooperation with area churches, hosts workshops this month in Massena, Gouverneur and Heuvelton on caregiving for people who are seriously ill.
The Confidence to Care program covers aspects of physical care, emotional care; and grief as well as spiritual care. Workshop instructors will be Hospice nurse Ruth Scruggs, Hospice Bereavement Counselor Jessica Love, and Hospice chaplain Rob Schirmer.
The workshops will be held:
Saturday, March 12 at 9:30 a.m. at the Massena Baptist Church
Sunday, March 13 at 1:30 p.m. in the First Methodist Church in Gouverneur
Wednesday, March 16, 6 p.m., at the Heuvelton Presbyterian Church
