CANTON — The Grasse River Heritage is hosting a History of Heritage Park Walk Sunday, Sept. 25, from 5-6 p.m. in the park.
Those participating can walk where a former U.S. President walked, look at the pristine waters and river development, and hear about the noteworthy events that occurred there.
Led by Lance Rutiger, the walk and talk will circle Falls Island (1/2 mile) and address its history from prehistoric times through today.
He’ll point out places and sites of interest.
Family friendly.
Walkers should meet in the parking lot of Heritage Park, 1 Main St. at 5 p.m., wear comfortable shoes, and be prepared for wet or cool weather.
