NORFOLK -- The Hepburn Library of Norfolk is offering several services, hours and programs this fall.

Curbside book pickup will allow patrons to place holds on materials using the online catalog www.ncls.org and their library card or by calling 315-384-3052. Curbside is available during library hours Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-noon and 2-8 p.m.

In-person visits are available for patrons older than the age of 2, as long as they wear a face covering over their mouth and nose at all times while in the building. Patrons are asked to maintain a 6-foot physical distance from anyone outside of their household unit in compliance with executive order 202.17.

No appointments are necessary, but the library must limit visitors browsing the collection during library hours. Patrons are welcome to browse the collection, use the computers, or use or copying and faxing services.

New building challenges for Lego Club are posted Mondays on Facebook. Share photos of your build to the Hepburn Library of Norfolk Facebook page and see what others are creating.

Virtual Story Hour will be Oct. 7-Dec. 30. The library will post a weekly story hour video on Facebook. Participants do not need to have an account to view these videos. In conjunction with these videos the library is also offering a monthly bag of crafts. Each bag will have kits labeled for the weeks of the month that correspond to the stories they plan to read. Register for the kits ahead of time by going to the website.

A book sale will be held from Oct. 13-16 during library hours (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m.-noon and 2-8 p.m.). Prices: paperbacks 50 cents, hardcovers $1, children’s books 25 cents, DVD’s and audiobooks 50 cents, magazines are free with many other items priced as marked. Special $1 bag sale day on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

The Norfolk library is a part of the North Country Library System and has a great variety of online resources available for free with a library card. Patrons can also access more virtual programs and e-books.
