CANTON — St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services is hosting a foster parent informational meeting Dec. 14, from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at the St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services, 6 Judson St.
This meeting will provide people an opportunity to learn more about the foster care program in St. Lawrence County and ask any questions that they may have about becoming a foster parent.

The next MAPP/ GPS training classes to become a certified SLC DSS foster home is anticipated to start in early 2023. Foster families provide short term or long term care to children who are unable to reside with their biological families for various reasons.
