POTSDAM — A heavy texture acrylic floral painting class will be offered by SLC Arts at the Creative Spirit Community Arts Center, 6 Raymond St., on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 11 a.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 30 from 5-7 p.m.
The cost is $75 per person. Pre-registration is required at https://slc-arts-council.myshopify.com/ .
Artist Brenda Maxson will lead a two-part class in creating a heavy texture floral painting.
On day one students will learn how to create heavy texture acrylic roses that will become part of the final painting.
On the second day students will paint their background and a vase, attach the previously created roses, and add extra elements such as leaves.
All materials are provided.
