MASSENA -- The First United Methodist Church, 189 Main St., is continuing to serve its free to-go lunches Monday-Friday next week from April 27 to May 1.
These meals are free to anyone who would like them.
Previously the church accepted pre-orders, but due to the overwhelming response meals will be first come first served.
To pick up food, just show up in your car, tell the volunteer how many meals you would like and it will be brought to your vehicle. This will continue until the food is gone for the day, say organizers. Donations will be accepted to help offset the cost of this endeavor.
The meals planned (subject to change) for April 27-May 1 are:
• Monday, chicken noodle soup, egg or ham salad sandwich on a croissant, and apple cake
• Tuesday, turkey sandwich, macaroni salad, chips and dessert
• Wednesday, chicken parmesan, spaghetti and fruit
• Thursday, chili, cornbread, and dessert
• Friday, chicken and biscuit, mashed potato, roll and veggies.
