PIERREPONT – The “Fight Strong Like A Long” Benefit for Mike Long will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, from 2-8 p.m. at the Pierrepont Fire Station.
Long has worked for the town of Colton for 20 years, and for LeBerge & Curtis for 12 years prior to that. He has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) that has spread to his lungs, and has been out of work since June 23.
Admission is a $10 donation at door, which includes food and entertainment.
Ed McCarthy, Andy Deon and Shawn Reed will provide music.
There will be raffles and a Chinese auction.
