DEKALB JUNCTION -- Don Woodcock and Gretchen Koehler will perform foot tapping, hand clapping music from North Country music traditions on Saturday, June 8 from 7-9 p.m. at the Meetinghouse Museum, 696 E. DeKalb Rd.
The concert is the second in the series sponsored by the DeKalb Historical Association. This year the series focuses on the family tradition of music in the North Country. Admission is free.
Don and Gretchen will be joined by special musical guests from the Boyea, Aldous, and Davey-Chase families who all have North Country roots.
Together they will share the ways they pass the family tradition of music along and re-invigorate the northern New York music scene.
The concert is part of the performance series held each year by the DeKalb Historical Association. The project is made possible in part with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by the St. Lawrence County Arts Council.
