CANTON -- Farmers markets will be opening around the county in the next few weeks.

The first to open is in Canton and will feature early spring produce, maple products, meats, eggs, cheese, soaps, and baked goods.

They will also be testing out a new online ordering system with Friday curbside pickup.

All farmers markets are following state guidelines for safe operation.

When you visit the markets, please wear a mask, maintain safe distances, use the provided hand sanitizer and hand washing stations, and only touch items you are purchasing.
