OGDENSBURG — An ‘End of Summer Luau’ will be held at the Freight House Aug. 20 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Organizer Angela Rodriguez said the event is aimed at kids ages 12-18 and will feature live music from teenage band Total 9 featuring bassist Christopher Rodriguez, Web Rodriguez on drums, William Demers on lead guitar, Jackson Dupery on rhythm guitar, Evelyn Davis on vocals and Macy Murdock on sax and keys. Logan Moran will open the show.

Rodriguez said the event is being held for kids in Ogdensburg and surrounding communities due to the lack of activities for them.

She said a $10 fee will cover the costs of pizza, snacks beverages and decorations. She said contests with prizes will also be held.

“We are not doing this for a profit but we hope to make this a big success,” she said. Adding that she’s hopeful more events of this nature can be held.
