FINE -- The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence’s (www.thearcjslc.org), announced that Dodge Pond Summer Camp for children is cancelled for the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This measure is being taken out of an abundance of caution to ensure the health and safety of people with disabilities during these challenging times.
"We are disappointed that Summer Camp needed to be cancelled for this year," stated Joe Montgomery, Camp Director. "Unfortunately, there was just no way to keep the spirit of an overnight camp intact and ensure consistent social distancing."
Dodge Pond is well supported by Rotary Clubs in St. Lawrence and Jefferson Counties and their ongoing commitment is deeply appreciated.
Through this partnership, funds from Rotary International were granted to create a footbridge that will further enhance Dodge Pond Summer Camp. Staff and Rotarians look forward to the completion of the project for use during future camp seasons.
The Arc Jefferson – St. Lawrence provides lifelong opportunities that enhance the lives of people, so that they may achieve their hopes and aspirations.
