POTSDAM -- Visiting instructor Esme Allen-Creighton will perform a recital along with guest faculty musicians at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26 in Hosmer Concert Hall.
Mezzo-soprano Lorraine Yaros Sullivan and pianist François Germain will join Allen-Creighton for a performance of three songs for medium voice, viola and piano by Frank Bridge, including "Far From Each Other," "Where is it That our Soul Doth Go?" and "Music when Soft Voices Die."F
Two more Crane School of Music faculty members will perform alongside Allen-Creighton for Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Andante from Sinfonia Concertante," with John Lindsey on violin and Kirk Severtson on piano.
Allen-Creighton will also perform a solo work for viola, Johann Sebastian Bach's "Chaconne from Partita No. 2." Germain will join for Paul Hindemith's three-movement "Sonata Op. 11 No. 4."
This concert is free, and the public is invited to attend.
