POTSDAM -- Dai Yi, piano soloist and winner of the Crane Concerto Competition, will present a solo performance during a concert given by the Crane Symphony Orchestra on Friday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Hosmer Concert Hall. Conducted by Kenneth Andrews, the student orchestra will begin the performance with "Prelude in E-Flat, Op. 34, No. 14," a 1933 work by Dmitri Shostakovich. Following the Shostakovich piece, Yi will take the stage in a solo performance of the 1830 "Piano Concerto No. 1 in E-Minor, Op. 11" by Frédéric Chopin. She will conclude the concert with a performance of the revised 1947 ballet "Pétrouchka" by Igor Stravinsky. This concert is free, and the public is invited to attend.
