WADDINGTON – A combined summer reading and recreation program with swimming lessons included is being offered at Waddington for incoming 1st-6th grade children. Children under six years old will need direct adult supervision at the beach.
The six-week program runs July 5-August 12.
The Hepburn Library of Waddington summer reading program will be held at the Island View Park Pavilion Mondays-Thursday from 9-10:15 a.m. for grade 1-3 and 10:30-11:45 a.m. for grades 4-6. On Fridays, the reading program is combined for grades 1-6 at the library. Transportation will be provided between the library and recreation program at Howard Park following the reading program.
Recreation Day Care Camp for children grades 1-6 at Howard Park will be provided Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Swim lessons at Howard Park Beach will be offered Monday/Wednesdays and Tuesdays/Thursdays with group lessons 12-3 p.m. Sign-ups for lessons are on Tuesday, July 5 at 12 p.m. at the Lifeguard Shack.
