Classes, workshops at The Gallery at Lake Saint Lawrence Arts in Waddington in March

WADDINGTON -- The Gallery at Lake Saint Lawrence Arts, 10 Main St., is holding a line-up of classes and workshops in March.

All sessions are held at The Gallery and require preregistration and prepayment. An additional at-the-door fee will be charged for non-registration with no guarantee of entrance to the class or workshop since space is limited.

Walk-ins are welcome at kid’s classes with no additional fee.

March begins with “Bug Tins for Kids of All Ages” on Saturday, March 3, from 1-3 p.m. All supplies included. Cost is $5. Walk-ins welcome.

“Sterling Silver Earring Workshop” is Sunday, March 4, from 1-4 p.m. Students will learn the basics of working with wire and using the tools of the trade and create a pair of sterling silver earrings. All materials provided. No experience necessary. Cost is $30.

“$10 Tuesdays” begins Tuesday, March 6, from l-3 p.m. and continue each Tuesday. Students at the March 6 workshop will make a daisy chain necklace. All classes cost $10. Go to www.lakestlawrencearts.com or call The Gallery at 315-308-4410 for information and to pre-register.

“Decorative Folk Painting” starts on Wednesday, March 7, and continues each Wednesday in March (March 14, 21, and 28) from 9:30 a.m.-noon. Classes will involve finishing projects and choosing new projects to enhance skills learned in previous classes. All materials are supplied. Cost is $15.

“Introduction to Wood Burning” is Saturday, March 10, from 10 a.m.-noon and will be taught by Julie Pratt. All supplies provided. Cost is $15.

“Intermediate Wood Burning” continues the morning class on Saturday, March 10, from 2-4 p.m. Cost is $15.

“Introduction to Drawing” is Sunday, March 11, from 2-4 p.m. Age limit is 16 and up. The session finishes off with drawing a still life. All supplies included. Cost is $15. Instructor: Julie Pratt.

“Decorative Folk Painting” will be held Wednesdays, March 14, 21 and 28, from 9:30 a.m.-noon. Cost is $15.

“Introduction to Oil Painting” is scheduled for Saturday, March 17, 10 a.m.-noon. The class is for ages 16 and older. This beginning class starts with the basics of oil painting. Students will be guided through the complete process by artist Julie Pratt. All supplies are included in the class price. Class is limited to 8 artists. Cost is $25.

“Easter Photo Session” is Saturday, March 24, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Call The Gallery at 315-308-4410 or call Beverly directly at 315-869-3895 for information and appointment. Session fee is $20.

The “Sterling Silver Chain-Maille Bracelet” workshop is Sunday, March 25, from 1-4 p.m. Chain-maille jewelry is made by connecting individual jump rings together in a consistent pattern (or weave) to create earrings, necklaces, bracelets, key chains, fobs, etc. All materials supplied. No experience needed. Cost is $30.

“Silver Bracelet Workshop” will be held Saturday, March 31, 1-5 p.m. All materials provided. Cost is $50.
