POTSDAM -- The Clarkson and Potsdam Garden clubs and the Potsdam Lions Club hold their annual garage sale and plant sale in A.A. Kingston Middle School cafeteria Saturday, May 5 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Perennials, annuals, vegetable plants, bulbs, herbs, shrubs, trees and more, grown locally, will be sold at the plant sale. Proceeds will benefit the Potsdam Humane Society.
The Lions will sell books, collectibles, furniture, electronics, holiday decorations, toys, dishes and “elegant junque.” Proceeds will support sight projects such as vision screening for preschoolers and eyeglasses for children in need.

The Potsdam Lions Club will celebrate the 75th anniversary of its charter with a dinner in May. The club meets at 5:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of the month, in Julian’s on Market Street.
