POTSDAM – Cinema 10 continues its fall 2010 season on Monday, Oct. 18 with a showing of “Full Disclosure,” a 2008 documentary with a special appearance by director Brian Palmer who made this film about the Iraq war.
Full Disclosure is a uniquely subjective documentary film by Brian Palmer about the Iraq war.
Palmer was embedded with Marines three times in the early years of the war. However, unlike so many other Iraq war films, Palmer plays a significant part in his film, making the final cut as much about his struggle to film the war as it is about the Marines’ struggle to fight it.
Stewart Nusbaumer of the Huffington Post writes: Brian Palmer “moves onto ground that other war documentaries are mostly avoiding. Placing himself in the film, his voice persistent throughout the film, his uneasiness growing stronger, his beliefs seeping through, his opposition to this unpopular war there, the ‘I’ is back in war.”
Films are shown on Mondays at 7:15 p.m. in the Roxy Theater in Potsdam.
Tickets are $4.50 general/$35 season or $3.50 student/senior/$25 season.
