POTSDAM – Cinema 10 continues its fall 2010 season on Monday, Sept. 27 with a showing of “Looking for Eric,” a 2009 UK/France film about a soccer fanatic in crisis.
This is the perfect film for soccer fans still suffering withdrawal from the latest World Cup.
Eric is a postman whose fanaticism about soccer is the center of his existence, and it is leading him down the path toward personal crisis.
Who better to save him from this fate than the legendary, sage-like footballer, Eric Cantona, “the King” of Manchester United?
Tom Long of the Detroit News calls the film “a pleasant surprise – somehow both ambitious and easygoing, funny and worrisome.”
Films are shown on Mondays at 7:15 p.m. in the Roxy Theater in Potsdam.
Tickets are $4.50 general/$35 season or $3.50 student/senior/$25 season.
