MADRID -- The Christian Fellowship Center Food Pantry, 3662 County Route 14, will be open to the public this Thursday, April 30, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 5:30-7 p.m.
A drive-thru style of service is being used in order to keep clients and volunteers safe during this time of social distancing, said a press release from the CFC.
Families remain in their cars throughout the entire process; no signatures are required.
Volunteer staff will direct you once you arrive, guide you through the check-in process, and load food in your car for you. There is no need to bring any bags or boxes.
The CFC Food Pantry is normally open on the 3rd Thursday of every month but has been opening every other week since mid-March in order to help families during this difficult time. Each family member receives enough food for nine meals. Eligibility is based on total household income being below 185% of federal poverty guidelines.
The pantry will be open on May 14 and May 28 as well.
