Black Lake Ice Fishing Derby will be held Saturday, January 25 from 6 a.m.-4 p.m. “Bringing it Back to the Lake” will be for pike with a minimum length of 26”.
$1,000 cash grand prize will be awarded for Black Lake only fish caught and entered on the ice at the following shacks: Rollaway Bay, Chapman’s Sport Shop, and Black Lake Marine ‘Red Barn’ with 3p.m. close.
The Club House is for open boundary pike only with 4 p.m. close. Open boundary pike entered at the Clubhouse are not eligible for the $1000 grand prize.
Four $200 cash prizes for adult division winners and four $100 cash prizes for youth division winners will be awarded, one at each station.
All contestants must register before fishing.
Adult registration is $15. Youth (16 and under) registration is $10. Register at the Clubhouse, Black Lake Marine, Chapman’s & Fish Creek Bait & Tackle. The Clubhouse will be open for registration from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening, Jan. 24, and 7 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Jan. 25.
Raffle tickets will be sold and food served at the Clubhouse throughout the day.
Registration fees are non-refundable. If the derby is cancelled due to weather, it will be rescheduled.
