CANTON – The Canton V.F.W. Post 1231 will hold a Veterans Day observance Friday, Nov. 11, beginning with a ceremony at 11 a.m. at the post on Gouverneur Street.
As part of the ceremony, the post will raise a flag that was used during the funeral services for Larry Sheridan, local resident and recently deceased W.W. II and Korean War veteran. The main speaker will be Tom Robinson, New York State VA representative.
Bagpipe music will be provided by Shannon Kennedy, a retired Army major. The public is invited to attend and refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
