CANTON – The church school children and youth group of the First Presbyterian Church of Canton will be trick-or-treating a week early this fall, knocking on doors in Canton neighborhoods saying "Trick or Treat so others can eat."
The children will be out and about this coming Sunday, Oct. 24 between 5 and 7 p.m.
They are hoping to collect boxes and cans of non-perishable food items such as noodles, rice, tuna fish, cereals, soups, etc. to replenish local food pantries.
They will be assisted by SLU sorority and fraternity students.
After they have gathered wagons full of food, they will meet at the church to enjoy snacks and fun.
