CANTON – In celebration of the American Library Association's Banned Books Week, Sept. 25 to Oct. 2, the Canton Free Library will host Frank Palumbo, resident expert on author Ray Bradbury, as he offers a fascinating look at a very important piece of American literature, Bradbury's oft banned book “Fahrenheit 451.”
The multimedia workshop will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 29, at 6 p.m. in the library's Paige Room. Attendees will learn about the original short story and the book's continued relevance in the 21st Century, view the original cover art, watch a video on a parallel short story about censorship, and participate in an open discussion.
This event is free and appropriate for adults and high school students. For more information, contact Krista at 386-3712 or kbriggs@ncls.org.
